Episode 6 Exercise :

The Forgiveness to Freedom™ Method

This process is designed to help you release emotional weight your body has been holding

even if you don’t know the full story behind it.

Take your time with this.

You’re not just writing names — you’re reclaiming pieces of yourself.

Move slowly.

Let your body set the pace.

If emotion rises, that’s energy releasing.

Pause. Breathe. Continue when you’re ready.

Before You Begin

Pay attention to where your subconscious shows itself:

triggers

negative self-talk

resentment

judgment

the inner critic

excuses

These reactions point directly to the emotional charge that’s still active.

You don’t need every detail.

You don’t need every memory.

You just need the willingness to recognize the pattern

and the desire to break the cycle.

Part One

Those You Choose to Forgive

Step 1 — Make Your First List

Write down every person, situation, or event that still carries emotional weight —

from your earliest memories to now.

If it comes to mind, it belongs on the list.

No filtering. No judging. Just write.

Step 2 — Release Through Forgiveness

➜ Speak it aloud:

“I choose to forgive you and release this from my body and life.”

For each entry, choose one or more:

Write a letter

Say what was never said. Tear it up or burn it as a symbolic release.

Direct forgiveness

Only if it’s safe and aligned

Part Two

Those You Choose to Ask Forgiveness From

Step 3 — Make Your Second List

Write down moments where you may have caused pain — knowingly or unknowingly.

This isn’t about guilt or shame.

It’s about ownership.

Awareness transforms energy.

Step 4 — Offer Your Apology From the Heart

Choose what’s honest and safe:

Speak it aloud

Write a letter

Offer a direct apology when appropriate

Taking responsibility without self-condemnation frees you from the loop of regret.

Part Three

The Higher Perspective

Step 5 — Forgive Anyway

If forgiveness isn’t returned, forgive anyway.

You can’t control someone else’s timing.

Say:

“I forgive you for not forgiving me.”

Step 6 — Recognize the Patterns

Look across both lists.

Notice the shared wounds, emotions, and behaviors.

This is how generational energy heals — through awareness.

Step 7 — Feel the Shift

As understanding lands, the charge dissolves.

The body relaxes

Space opens

Compassion grows

Step 8 — Forgive Yourself

For doing the best you could with the awareness you had

No one ever taught you how the mind, body, and nervous system really work —and that’s what this work is about.

Self-forgiveness seals the healing and anchors your Authentic WHY in love instead of shame.

For the harsh self-talk

For the coping strategies

Important Notes

Go one list at a time

Work in sessions

Regulate as needed

Choose safety

This isn’t easy work — and that’s okay.

Because once you forgive, your nervous system finally receives the message it’s been waiting for:

“We’re safe now. You can rest.”

Optional (If You Want to Go Deeper)

After each session, write down:

what came up

what shifted

what you noticed in your body

This helps you see your progress over time.
